Off to a good start

 Sun 10 July

Started from my local station on the 10.23. It's really hot this morning

London Bridge Station was heaving, like it used to be at rush hour

 The 10:52 to Ashford

The rest of the train is very busy.
This train to Ashford certainly has great air-conditioning. It's very comfortable even when I'm sitting in the full sun. Almost be sorry to get off. It's running 5 minutes late but I'll still have over 15 minutes to get my connection.

We're following a stopping service to Maidstone East. Now 15 minutes late and I'm a little concerned about my connection to Eastbourne for the start of the tour.

Only just made it and only because my train was diverted to platform 2 and this one was on platform 1. I had seconds to spare!

 Bexhill. Thankfully on time.

A quick 5 min change at Eastbourne. Made it with 3 minutes to spare, I knew today would be a little hectic.

Another comfortable train, but annoying passengers in this 12-seater section. One is constantly blowing nose and the other constantly sniffing, snorting and tapping the table or his beer bottles to his music.

 Arriving Brighton

 Brighton station was busy too.

Had time for a snack from M&S in the station. Driver is just getting on

 River Humble near Swanwick

Last train of the day. Should be in Weymouth hotel by 7pm. I hope the food is good.
At Bournemouth the train was divided. I moved a better seat.
Parkstone Bay, Poole, with water on both sides

  Upton Lake, on both sides

 Rock Lea River

 Weymouth

 Great view from my room

 Best pint of the day.

Their restaurant was very efficient. I arrived at 7:30pm, had three enjoyable courses in just 30 minutes. The menu had five choices for each course, delivered fast and with a smile. All for a set price of just £20.
